About the Brandon Hall HCM Awards
The HCM (Human Capital Management) award is one of two award programs run by the Brandon Hall Group, an industry expert in talent management, development, and research.
The award program seeks to recognize L&D programs that add value to learners and organizations, contributing to business and workforce success and improving learning standards in corporate training.
Gold Award
We won a gold award in the “Future of Work” program area. Awards in this category were granted to entries that could equip learners for future skills, as well as programs that employed innovative strategies to aid learning. Our submission was judged on how well it addressed the training need, its instructional and visual design, and the measurable benefits it produced.
Silver Award
Our entry bagged the silver award in the “Learning & Development” category. This category evaluated L&D programs developed to address specific organizational learning needs. We applied in “Best Advance in Competency and Skill Development.” The cohesion of the project’s goals and design were evaluated, as well as how well it addressed the learning gap it was meant to fill.
More About the Project that won Brandon Hall HCM Awards 2023
Learning Everest applied for the HCM award along with a long-time client we worked with on a multi-module certification program on Circular Economy.
The program was for professionals and students who wanted to learn about and implement Circular Economy principles for greater sustainability in their domains of expertise.
Each module in the program was an individual multi-hour eLearning course of level 4 interactivity, the highest interactivity level possible in eLearning.
Our client provided us with raw content for instructional designing for eLearning. The content was adapted to the eLearning format using text, images, diagrams, and videos. Additionally, every module had a gamified quiz with personalized scoreboards. The plot of these gamified quizzes reflected the module’s ideas and themes. Correct answers would change the game’s narrative in a favorable direction and grant learners a unique collectible related the game (e.g., technical equipment).
Additionally, the courses had a transcript and human voiceover narration throughout. References and glossaries were also added that could be accessed anytime while taking the course.
We worked closely with our client to ensure that the certification program was cohesive and each module interesting, interactive, and impactful for the learners.
As validated by the awards, the program’s reception by leadership and learners was highly positive.
