Learning Everest – Government of India Certified Eligible Business

This recognition is part of GOI’s Startup India initiative, which seeks to support entrepreneurial projects in India to create more jobs. Businesses recognized under the Startup India initiative can further apply for a certificate of eligibility for the benefits provided under the Startup India program.

Gaining recognition and eligibility is a stringent process, where applicants need to submit several validating documents that help the Startup India team discern whether a business fits the bill.

Learning Everest applied for recognition in 2022 among thousands of other Indian startups but was one of the few hundred that ultimately earned recognition. This was a proud moment for our team as it broadened our future trajectory as a business.

In the past 7 years, only approximately 1162 startups out of approximately 2,56,794 startups registered in India (as on March 14th, 2023) have been awarded this ‘Certificate of Eligible Business’ by the DPIIT (Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade), Government of India. That means only 0.45% of the startups have been able to achieve this recognition.

After earning the certificate of recognition, we were also able to acquire the certificate of eligibility early in 2023, qualifying us for perks, benefits, and exemptions under the Startup India program.

These certificates are solid proof of our integrity, hard work, and ingenuity as a business. Moving forward, we will continue to add value to the startup ecosystem of India, as well as to our clients’ organizations through our products and services.
