Building on Success: Learning Everest Wins APEX Awards 2024

Learning Everest earned the Award of Excellence for the category ‘Electronic Media- Education and Training’ making the organization incredibly proud and inspired.

Apex Awards

APEX is the abbreviated form of Awards for Publication Excellence, an annual competition ‘based on excellence in graphic design, editorial content and the ability to achieve overall communications excellence’ and is sponsored by Communications Concepts Inc., the editors of Writer’s Web Watch. APEX 2024 is the 36^th Annual APEX, where more than 1100 entries participated in 100 subcategories falling under 13 major categories.

Learning Everest is privileged enough to have attained the Award of Excellence for an Operational Excellence training program titled Gamifying Operational Excellence with “The 5S Game.”

The Project ‘5S Game’

‘The 5S Game’ is a gamified microlearning course designed by the organization for attaining Operational Excellence in manufacturing and office spaces. It provides immersive, experiential learning using the Japanese 5S methodology. The five principles aim to create well-organized, safe working spaces, thereby contributing to well-established operational excellence. The learners, through this applied learning approach, are informed about how 5S improves efficiency in real time. The game has two versions; one for office employees and the other for shopfloor employees, both following practical implementation of the concept and ending with a call for action to the employees to apply the learning in their workplace.

The participant feedback in the game revealed that “100% of the participants agreed that ‘The 5S Game’ gave them tools to optimize their efficiency at work that they then applied to their day-to-day duties.” This effective rendering of the game has yielded the result of LearnX Awards in 2023, and now, the remarkable Apex Awards 2024.
